Want to take your campus organizing skills to the next level? Apply to our free, six-week training course to learn how to build a powerful student volunteer team on your college campus for the midterm elections.
What: Six virtual sessions / When: Tuesdays | 7:30-9pm ET | 3/22–4/26
From climate change to voting rights to reproductive justice, there's so much at stake for college students this year. You can help turn out more voters in the most competitive elections up and down the ballot by organizing students to take meaningful action with you—and this training course will prepare you with the skills you need to do just that.
Over the course of six training sessions, Swing Left experts and our partners from the National Democratic Training Committee will cover essential topics for campus organizing, including:
Establishing partnerships
Hosting voter contact events
Increasing your digital impact
Telling your story of self
Growing your team
Building towards GOTV
You will also have the opportunity to connect with and learn from college leaders from across the country throughout the program.
Students who graduate from the program will receive a credential from Swing Left and the National Democratic Training Committee certifying their participation in the training and proficiency in campus organizing skills.
Any student who will be on campus in fall 2022, available during the scheduled training sessions, and is either a leader of an existing group aligned with Swing Left’s mission or interested in starting their own Swing Left group is eligible to apply.
Please submit the following short application by the extended deadline on Wednesday, March 16.
